Locally adapted shishito pepper seedlings - fully hardened off and ready to transplant as soon as it gets warmer.

I have been breeding a Thunder Bay-adapted shishito pepper for five years. Shishito peppers are an heirloom from Japan and they are kind of ok in our climate. Over the years my yield went from 600g per plant to above 1kg. These plants do exceptionally well in a 5 gallon bucket on the deck. (I have also had success putting 3 in a 20 gallon tote.) hardening these off has been a breeze these aren’t fazed by the strong sun or cool wind.
These are in 5 inch pots large enough for you to keep them until all danger of frost is past. Put them outside in the sun for the day and bring them in overnight.
These are the best seedlings I have ever grown - exceptionally healthy and ready to go for the summer!
Shishito peppers are best eaten green. The finger sized fruits are mostly mild, though one in 20 can have a zing to it! Heat and drought stress causes them to get spicier.
